Love & Romance - Orchestra performance for Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society
VTC Symphony Orchestra again partnered with 3 distinguished musicians, including singing divas Eliza CHAN and Frances YIP and acclaimed violinist LEUNG Kin-fung to put on the Charity Concert of Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society cum Annual Concert of VTC Symphony Orchestra. Under the baton of Henry SHEK, the internationally-acclaimed conductor, the concert delighted a packed audience and raised over HK$1 million for the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.
Titled "Love and Romance" and conducted in the VTC Auditorium in the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), the Concert opened with a Cantonese classic sung by oncological specialists and cancer survivors whose heart-warming performance drew cheers and applause from the audience. Hot on the heels of the Cantonese lyric was the touching "Butterfly Lovers Concerto" performed by violinist LEUNG Kin-fung to the accompaniment of the VTC Symphony Orchestra.
The concert was finally pushed to a climax with the singing of famed Cantonese drama theme songs and classic romantic songs by the 2 divas, Eliza CHAN and Frances YIP.
